Gateway to Financial Literacy

What is the Gateway to Financial Literacy Program?

Gateway to Financial Literacy is a program that brings FREE financial education workshops for the community. The goal of our program is to provide individuals and families with the knowledge and resources they need to become financially independent to improve their financial stability, and ultimately their quality of life.

How it Works

Arrowhead United Way, Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County, local financial institutions and organizations have joined forces to bring educational opportunities to the community to assist individuals and families in learning how to manage and build personal finances.

Why is Financial Education Important?

  • When people improve their financial stability, they improve their quality of life.
  • When financial issues are addressed, individuals may be able to be more productive at work.
  • Individuals who are financially literate are likely to become more self-sufficient and less dependant on community services.
  • When individuals improve their financial health, they become:
    • More likely to afford a home
    • More able to afford child care, senior care, and/or health care
    • More active in planning for their future and retirement
